Day of Service

On a Saturday in early June we participated in a "Day of Service" with many of the churches in our area.  Our assignment was to dig out an old soggy playground area and install some drainage pipes so Willamalane Parks and Recreation could fill in the area with new playground material.  We also were asked to paint the park pavillion area.  The days leading up to the Day of Service were full of rain but on Saturday morning it cleared up allowing us to work.  It was still wet and muddy but it did not rain.  The kids had lots of fun playing in the puddles and "helping" us.
