Digging for Thunder Eggs!

While at Eagle Crest we took a day trip to dig for Thunder Eggs.  We went to Richardsons Rock Ranch in Madras.  It was amazing to see the types of rocks that come out of the earth.  They gave us picks and a bucket and a few instructions andsent us out to the dig site.  The kids loved it.  We only wish we would have had more time to spend digging.

These are some of the Thunder Eggs.  On the left are some broken pieces we found.  In the center are the ones we had cut in half and on the right are the uncut rocks.

Once we polish them they will be really pretty.

I would have never guessed that there was something so pretty inside these rocks.

Pilot Butte

After church on Sunday we stopped at Pilot Butte in Bend to look at the view.  What a beautiful place.

Trip to Utah

During Spring Break we took a trip to Utah to see some friends and go to a live session of conference.  These are some pictures from our trip.
